I'm currently reading, and recording, Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven, a 2-chapter book by Mark Twain, for Librivox. I have previously read only 1 or 2 chapters for any specific book, but this is my first "solo" project. I thought I would start small. :-)
The audio books that I've read for in the past are Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, The Iliad, and The Age of Fable. These were group projects where anyone can volunteer to read only 1 chapter, if they only want to do one, or more. The Iliad and The Age of Fable are not complete yet, but 20000 Leagues is.
I'll be posting some of my progress on Captain Stormfield as I go. While you're clicking through to Librivox, why not download some other audio books to listen or volunteer to be a reader or editor yourself. :-)

How cool is that?! I had never heard of this before. Lacey and I just finished reading the Illiad together. We are building a Trojan horse for our follow up project! Thanks for sharing! We LOVE reading, so we will be checking this website out more in depth! Do you know how OLD a person must be to record a book for the site? Just wondering if I could turn it into a school project for Lacey.
